John got serious about mountain biking from spending many days in Overton Park and the Wolf River bottom trails in Memphis in 1986 on his first real mountain bike, a Specialized Rock Hopper Sport. Since then, John has ridden on some of the best mountain bike trails in the country. John has always been a strong and active advocate for the bicycling industry in many forms and naturally developed many good friends and strong relationships with fellow IMBA/SORBA members and various communities since 2002.
The ability to design and construct various bicycling facilities alongside more typical civil engineering projects brings an extra level of job satisfaction. An extensive knowledge base of land manager coordination, consensus building, design, and permitting allows for the development of feature concepts and managing the project through implementation. Ride Garden brings this experience to the forefront on all of our work.
